Through our travels and networking we have been addressed to many of the needs of our schools and school districts. We have heard their concerns and have chosen to voice them along with their 'Wish Lists' on our website for you to view at your convenience. Few of us have the means to rescue entire schools of all hardships but help large and small will help us move forward in a positive direction. Our schools need full community support which includes other well to do schools, businesses, organizations and you personally.
By connecting all of our projects to an individually assigned reference number we allow you to contribute specifically to those projects which you feel the greatest desire to be a part of. Often charities ask mostly for general contributions in which you have no knowledge of where your gifts are actually being used and whether they're directly helping anyone. We at True Change allow you to choose specifically how you would like to help while still offering the choice of adding to our organizations general fund. We hope that our system will encourage more to be charitable and also that we may be offering peace of mind to those who choose to do so.
In 2011 the United States budget has allotted over $592.9 billion to the federal Defense Dept. and the Dept. of Homeland Security while allotting only 46 billion for the federal Dept. of Education. www.gpoaccess.gov
Due to budget cuts and consolidations across the country our schools are going through drastic changes and they need our help to stay afloat. Where our various governments lack the funds or desires to uplift and build our schools we may choose to take these responsibilities into our own hands. To ensure that all of our youth have an equal chance of
opportunity for education and growth, we as communities must come
together to support our schools and youth programs in the areas in
which they are underfunded and lacking.
If you're looking to donate to one of our schools Wish Lists please contact us with the information of which school you're looking to help and what part of their list it is that you would like to contribute to. Our contact information is listed on the Wish List page as well as our contact page.
For those of you looking to become more involved with True Change or if you feel as though you would be a positive addition to one of our projects or to another part of our program we would love to see what we could do for one another. We are looking for project coordinators and assistants to help them with promoting and finding sponsors for our individual projects. We are also looking for anyone familiar with web design and graphic design to help us with web maintenance and advertising.
To protect the name and integrity of our group and to also protect the people in our community that we'll be helping we will be doing a simple background check on any and all Certified Volunteers. This isn't to push people away from helping but as said before it is to protect the group and the people we'll be working for. We'll be doing a simple background check looking for anything we should be aware of. This is not to deter anyone from signing up it just means we'll have to find time to meet with you to clarify our expectations and to make sure that we are on the same page with what we expect.
If you're looking at becoming a Certified Volunteer you can email us at the below address and we will be glad to send you an application page. We hope that you find something within our group that moves you and we look forward to having you as a part of the True Change team.

Everyone appreciates someone brightening their day and
that is exactly our goal with this project. We are firm believers that
negative acts often stem from a negative environment. Someone who is
content, positive and shown compassion and respect is far less likely
to commit harmful acts to themselves or others. We hope to be their
bright spot. Happiness is contagious so come join us with your own sign
and watch as you change someones day.
